Yesterday I went to a friend’s BBQ with Z (old college friend was in town).  I enjoyed fresh strawberries and blueberries plus sweet potato chips and a delicious cheeseburger with avocado.

Then it was time for dessert.  I made Z a small bowl of strawberry shortcake and she enjoyed it (ate only half).  Then I helped her clean up.

Not once did I have a hissy fit in my mind because I wasn’t eating the dessert.  I never really had a desire to eat it, actually.  I was quite satisfied with my meal and had plenty of sweet goodness with the blueberries and strawberries.

And I didn’t think much about the entire thing until I was home.  I think I am starting to get a hold of this second nature business.
